Lindsay + Tim

Lake Placid, New York

As I began going through these photos from this special day, every emotion I had felt came flooding back. Not only was this one of the most breathtaking and intimate weddings I have done thus far; it was also one of the most special. Lindsay & Tim are close friends of my fiance & I’s. They too, have been dating for years, dreaming about the day they would become husband & wife.

When Lindsay first messaged me to say she wanted me to photograph their wedding day, my heart was completely overjoyed. As we got talking about the details… where the wedding would be held.. how many people would be there… it was evident this was going to be such a reflection of t h e m. They spend countless weekends in the Adirondacks, and have found it to be such a special place for them (and now I see why!). What better place to start this next chapter?

We started the morning off at a cabin rental, where all the girls got ready. We were able to hangout on the large open front porch.. where the girls drank mimosas, got hair and makeup done, and started to get the nervous-excitement giggles as the morning went on.

Once the girls were done, we headed up to the top of Whiteface Mountain. Yep, you read that right. We were able to pull off, in front of an amazing view of the mountains below, where they would do their First Look. Tim stood looking out, while Lindsay came up and tapped him on the shoulder. Their warm embraces of finally being with eachother, and finally having this day arrive was so beautiful. We cried, we laughed, and we took some really fun photographs. A special family friend was able to perform an Irish Blessing while we were there, and I don’t think there was a dry eye around. Others surrounding us clapped and cheered.

We all hopped back into our cars, and headed to The Hungry Trout Resort, where both the ceremony & reception would be held. (This is also where many guests, including Myself, Fiance, and our pup stayed. I can’t say enough great things about it.) With roughly 25 guests total, the wedding was super intimate and romantic. I loved it. We spent the rest of the night taking fun photos around the golden hour, and then dancing under the twinkling string lights.

Lindsay & Tim,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for A. asking me to play such a big role in your day, and B. giving my own little family one of the greatest adventures we’ve had. I will FOREVER hold onto your wedding weekend as one of the best memories. I love you two! Congrats, Mr. & Mrs. DOYLE! (AHH!)
